1.) Peace School - We'll hear the story of the prophets, and how they were God's messengers during the time of the kings, the exile, and the rebuilding when they returned to Jerusalem. These visuals are of Job, Jonah and Esther. Job was used to cope with tragedies, such as the destruction and exile. Jonah was used to consider how we treat our enemies. Esther was used to show how God is with us, even in new lands.
2.) Practice - Parents, here's an activity to do at home together during the week from Building Faith, an Anabaptist resource. This week's is "It's All God's."
3.) Pray - During the week consider praying a portion of The LORD's Prayer from The New Zealand Prayer Book copied below (or choose to repeat another one of your favorite prayers). Big words, but amazing how quickly younger children can memorize and then take a lifetime to add meaning.
4.) Learning to Serve - As we prepare for Thanksgiving, and celebrate the harvest of food this fall, here's our last video about DenUM's Food For All. Consider specific ways your family can work towards all children having enough to eat on a daily basis.
