Peace School - After Adam and Eve, another story we learned last year isthe story of siblings Cain and Abel. This is one of the four fall stories that follow the stories of creation. The visual below is of Noah's Dove and God's Rainbow and represents the "Creation and Fall Stories," this first section of our Bible Storyline.
Read - This week read pages 24-31 to continue following along in your Shine On Story Bible through the year. This week's reading will get us ready for Oct. 11 when we hear about the Great Family (Abe, Ike, Jake n Joe - Sara, (Re)Becca, Rachael, Leah).
Practice - Parents, here's an activity to do at home together during the week from Building Faith, an Anabaptist resource. "Ordinary Time"
Pray - During the week consider praying a portion of The LORD's Prayer from The New Zealand Prayer Book copied below (or choose to repeat another one of your favorite prayers). Big words, but amazing how quickly younger children can memorize and then take a lifetime to add meaning.
Learning to Serve - Watch the video below and learn more about Your Coins Count and the work of Mennonite Central Committee (MCC). We'll be collecting coins until the MCC Relief Sale in Rocky Ford, Oct. 14-15.
