Hello FMC Families,
Remember that we have our second class this Sunday, Sept. 11. Then we'll continue on Oct. 2 (following the 30th Anniversary of DOOR on Sept. 18 and the Great Getaway at camp Sept. 23-25). We'll be mostly week by week from Oct. 2 until Christmas! :-)
Life can be busy for many of our families, but please consider what is filled in that busyness. Do you and your family have regular (weekly?) times of sharing prayers and considering what God means for your daily life? God is with us, and yet it seems we can often forget that with work and school. May the Spirit find you and your family this fall in meaningful and practical practices that guide your life.
Classes for all ages continue on Sunday:
The younger ages (Pre-K & K-2nd) will be exploring "Images of God"
Venture Club (3rd-5th) will be seeing what the overall story of the Bible is.
JYF (6th-8th) will be exploring Creation, and seeing why the Israelites told Creation in a non-violent way with a focus on a relational and personal God.
MYF (9th-12th) will be sharing their biggest influences, and talking about the "gods" that influence Denver and the USA (then playing some Blitz or frisbee).
Mentoring Pairs are encouraged to read one of the following books together this year:
"God's Story, Our Story"
"Jesus for President"
"We Make the Road by Walking"
Parents and all adults are encouraged to follow along through the year in McLaren's "We Make the Road by Walking." There is a weekly chapter/devotional walking through major events, themes, and Anabaptist values in the Bible from August through July.
Events & Evites:
