Hello Peace School Families,
A quick plug to consider being part of the annual MCC Relief Sale in Rocky Ford, Oct. 16-17. Many people drive down early Saturday morning and stay for lunch. There's a quilt auction, items to buy such as packaged food, and activities for everyone in the family. Also a great place to run into Mennonites from all over Colorado, as well as a few from Kansas and New Mexico! You can also go down Friday for dinner and events. Hotel rooms often fill up early, so some folks stay in Pueblo so the drive is a bit more reasonable on Saturday. Others stay Saturday night and make a weekend of it.
With the exception of the JYF (6th-8th Graders), all classes continue reflecting on parts of Genesis this week again. Parents and any interested youth, check out the tab for Adults to follow along in "We Make the Road by Walking," a weekly devotional. This week's reading is Chapter 7, "Rivalry and Reconciliation."
Peace School this week (click on their tab for more info each week):
2's learning about God's love with Roberta and Susan
Pre-K learning the story of Noah from Genesis 6-9.
K-2nd learning the story of the Great Family from Genesis 12-50.
Venture Club learning about the Exodus to Sinai, as Moses leads the Hebrews out of Egypt and to Mt. Sinai and the 10 Commandments.
JYF will continue reading and reflecting in Revelation, with Chapter 3, containing letters to the churches.
MYF will continue their overview of the Pentateuch/Torah (first five books of the Bible) and reflect on what it means to be "called" and "blessed" for Matriarchs and Patriarchs in Genesis. What does it mean for our lives today?
