Matthew 6:25-34 is a reminder that life takes prioritizing. It is easy for me to spend a good amount of time worrying about what to make for dinner, if traffic will move fast enough, if there is enough time to make coffee, and if I will get all my work done (let alone household chores). Yet Jesus is clear that in God's kingdom the only thing you need to worry about is following the ways of God. Right after praying his prayer, Jesus asks people not to worry. Love your enemies (and your friends), revere the Great Mystery, expect God/heaven here (not after death), have enough daily food, share resources, and beware of Evil, Violence and Hate - but do not worry. Specifically, do not worry about the future! Today has enough worries. But present in this moment, with this kingdom of God, and that is enough.
