Welcome to day 1. Today simply take a moment to learn and remember what Advent is. Historically, Advent is an ancient practice of waiting for Jesus. We both anticipate the birth of Jesus as the Jews did 2000 years ago, and we anticipate the return of Christ today.
For Mennonite Anabaptists, we enter into this season of the church year by waiting for Jesus' Kingdom to be realized in our world. What would the world look like if we all lived like we were part of Jesus' Kingdom of God?
I wait for Christ as I wait for peace in Bethlehem, and the Middle East.
I wait for Christ as I wait for health and well-being in West Africa.
I wait for Christ as I wait for healing in Ferguson.
I wait for Christ as I wait for community in my neighborhood and across Denver.
I wait for Christ as I wait for inclusion of everyone in MC USA.
I wait for Christ as I wait for _____
