This Sunday we continue Revelation with Chapter 15. While we continue this Spring with Revelation, have you been able to find ways this relates to the rest of your life? Does it relate to friendships or dating? Does it relate to how you view your school, teachers, and coaches? Does it relate to what you know about the news and current events around our nation and globe? As our faith history, how do we develop the skill of using old stories to build our future stories? I hope and pray that the Spirit of God guides us and sparks our imagination and inspires us into faithful living.
Psalm 23 is our centering prayer this season of Epiphany. Do we feel the Light (Jesus) of God in our daily living? Is there light in Revelation while the Beast and the Empire wreak havoc and death and destruction? Is there light during the hard times - when our friendships are hard, when school is lonely, when family is grieving, when sports are frustrating, and when academics are degrading? May Psalm 23 provide comfort and grounding in the midst of tragedy, terror and depression.
