Continuing through the Bible story this week by considering the Fall Stories in Genesis 2-11. While chapter one gives us a vision of creation being good, we then read about Adam and Eve and wonder if we are originally bad. However, some Anabaptist Christians have said that life is not about overcoming our sinful nature, but growing the goodness in our nature. We do have to overcome sin, injustice, selfishness, etc. But we do so by acknowledging God's grace in our life, that God loves everyone, no exceptions! We train ourselves (disciple each other) to grow the original goodness that we were created and born out of. We listen for the love, following Jesus' example of loving everyone, and we get that deep sense that God loves everyone, and that is salvation and being saved.
Do you feel God's love? Do you know that you are good and have the potential to do good?
